Advantech proudly announces its new portfolio of cutting-edge edge AI compute solutions, AOM-6731, AIMB-293, and SOM-6820 that are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite platform. Designed for the rigorous demands of modern industrial environments, these solutions combine powerful processing, advanced AI acceleration (up to 45 TOPS), and ultra-fast connectivity via 5G and Wi-Fi 7, all within a rugged industrial PC architecture.
Built on Snapdragon X Elite 12-core and Snapdragon X Plus 10-core platforms featuring Qualcomm Oryon CPUs, these systems reach processing speeds up to 3.4GHz. They deliver outstanding multitasking and data throughput while consuming 28% less power than traditional x86 platforms during everyday tasks such as Teams video calls, video playback, web browsing, and Microsoft 365 usage. Integrated Qualcomm Hexagon NPUs further enhance AI performance, enabling up to 45 TOPS of AI compute.
These solutions also utilize LPDDR5X memory, offering up to 1.3× speed improvements (from 6400MT/s to 8533MT/s) and 20% lower power consumption compared to LPDDR5. UFS 3.1 Gear 4 storage boosts data transfer rates up to 16,000Mbps, with UFS 4.0 options available for maximum durability and performance in harsh conditions.
For multimedia and vision-intensive tasks, the integrated Snapdragon Adreno 5th Gen VPU supports 4K60p H.264 full-duplex video encode/decode. The Adreno GPU, with support for OpenCL, OpenGL, and DirectX 12, delivers superior graphical performance across AI vision applications.

The AOM-6731 AI module, AIMB-293 Mini-ITX motherboard, and SOM-6820 COM Express Type 6 module will be available for engineering evaluations starting March 2025.
