SriLankan Airlines is poised to bolster its long-haul operations with the induction of a new Airbus A330-200, set to join its fleet on June 4, 2025.

The aircraft, to be registered as 4R-ALT, will be powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 772B-60 engines. The new addition is expected to strengthen the airline’s widebody operations and support its strategy to expand international connectivity.

This move comes as part of SriLankan Airlines’ efforts to modernize its fleet and improve service offerings on long-haul routes.

The airline said the aircraft will begin commercial operations shortly after induction.
